At Damart we are proudly supporting a new campaign launched by national charity Heart Research UK which raises awareness of heart disease among women across the UK.
The new campaign, called #LovingHearts, focuses on the misconceptions associated with women and heart disease. The campaign also offers advice, tips and guidance on how to best look after their hearts and reduce risk factors.
It’s estimated that as much as 80% of heart disease is preventable
As a result of tackling the many risk factors that contribute to heart disease, a significant number of heart disease cases can be avoided and prevented. Things such as; stopping smoking, eating a healthy diet and losing weight, can all contribute to women living healthier, happier longer lives.
Supporting Heart Research UK…you can too!
As part of the campaign, Damart are supporting HRUK with the 3-in-1 Jacket. For each jacket bought online between September to December, £4 will be donated to Heart Research UK. This year it is being modelled by the charity’s ambassador, TV cook Sally Bee from ITV’s Lorraine show.
Sally survived three heart attacks when she was just 36, and has been a campaigner for Heart Research UK on healthy eating and exercise;
“This is a really interesting campaign, designed to get women over 40 to think more about their heart health.”
