March Stylist picks

Style inspiration brought to you by resident Stylist Julie Dickson

Wondering what wardrobe pieces to invest in this month? Or just in need of some outfit inspiration? Here’s the go-to picks our Stylist Jules will be wearing this Spring.

The Dream Cardi

Whether attending another zoom meeting or simply heading out for a takeaway coffee and cake the cardigan has become our “go to” extra layer. I love this “pretty as a picture” slim ribbed cardi because of its easy wear shape ( relaxed but not slouchy), it’s ruffled trimmed cuffs and the divine shade of red. Guaranteed to make you smile.

TIP: Wear solo – just button up and half tuck into a pair of jeans or belt over a pretty dress. It’s time for a style refresh.

The Fluid Pants

After spending the last few months at home we are all looking for an alternative to lockdown leggings and jog bottoms. These stylish drawstring trousers not only look good but are super comfortable too (elasticated waists are the only way forward!) Try them rolled up with white trainers and a Sloppy Joe sweater or with a half tucked white shirt and loafers.

TIP: Create a waist by ‘half tucking’ your top into trousers or skirts. Stops you looking too square in the middle.

The Pretty Blouse

As we have been spending a lot more of our time online our fashion focus has switched firmly to our top half! Ruffles and frills have played a starring role in our lockdown wardrobes and are set to become part of Springs fresh new look. Combined with a pretty ditsy print this blouse is a great transition piece as it looks as good peeking out from under a lightweight knit as it does worn solo with jeans .

TIP: An all over print detracts the eye so is perfect if you wish to hide a tummy.
