In support of our charity partnership with Heart Research UK, we pulled on our walking boots this weekend to support Heart Research UK and its Three Peaks Day in the Dales event.
Damart sponsored the event, which is a partnership between HRUK and the Yorkshire Dales National Park’s Three Peaks Project, with people encouraged to take part in one of three walks on offer: the 25 mile Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge; a less strenuous 15-mile route and a scenic 5k nature walk in and around the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
Ben Phillips, senior marketing manager at Damart, said: “It was a fabulous day with colleagues showing great teamwork and commitment. It was a great way to raise funds, as well as keeping fit and active. We’ve supported Heart Research UK and the brilliant work that they do for a number of years and we were only too happy to join them and many others walking in such a beautiful part of Yorkshire.”
This is the charity’s 20th annual Three Peaks challenge in the Yorkshire Dales, and the event aims to raise funds for its work as the local national charity that has been helping hearts since 1967. Money raised from the event will help people live healthier, longer, happier lives as well as improving and maintaining the much-loved footpath network in the Three Peaks area around Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
