As Bingley prepares to celebrate its new ‘Walkers are Welcome’ status, staff at Damart are stepping into their walking boots as they prepare to take part in our very own walk.
We’ve teamed up with ‘Walkers are Welcome’, a nationwide network of communities endorsed for their amenities and hospitality for walkers, to sponsor the ‘Damart Healthy Heart Walk’, a two mile walk along the Five Rise Locks.
Linda Montgomery, HR Director, said: We are delighted to be partnering with Bingley Walkers are Welcome by sponsoring our very own walk and be one of the sponsors of the launch event.
“We have worked hard over the years to encourage healthy living for our colleagues. Through our work with Heart Research UK we have introduced a number of initiatives including healthy eating and exercise classes available to all employees. We are delighted to now be able to promote these beautiful local walks that our colleagues and local residents can get involved with.”
Walkers will come together at 10am on the 11th April when the town will celebrate the launch of its ‘Walkers are Welcome’ status which will give people the chance to join in the celebrations and take part in up to six walks suitable for a range of abilities and ages.
