A sneak peek at the new season drop…..I’ve picked out six key items from the new season that I think you will love. They are easy to incorporate into your Autumn wardrobe now and will make you ready for the new season.
The Coatigan
Coatigans are great styling pieces for in-between seasons when it’s not quite cold enough for a full on coat. What I love about this one is the bold check design- bang on trend for Autumn 21 and it’s fabulous colour palette which incorporates orange and bright blue- key colours for the new season. Because it is a statement piece it means it instantly updates the rest of your Autumn wardrobe. Try styling with these great wide leg trousers – THE trousers shape of the season and a frilled denim shirt. Finish off your look with on trend white pumps.
The PU Skirt
Flared skirts are a big trend story for Autumn 21 – part of the Seventies Trend story that dominated the Designer Collections. Whereas the big names showed their skirts in leather and suede I think this PU version is a great way of getting the look without spending too much money! You can wear this skirt in a variety of ways… Try tucking in this pretty puff sleeve blouse and style with knee high boots- finish off with some chunky gold jewellery for a real 70’s vibe. Or go for a pop of colour with this fabulous red cable sweater… Always remember to half tuck your sweaters to create a waist otherwise it can look too blocky. Style with simple white trainers or suede ankle boots for a really stylish look.
The Dress
Every Autumn wardrobe calls for a great dress and this season the printed shirt dress is the style to go for. Again all the style details are there… a pretty frilled neckline, a great modern print in the new season colour palette and a flattering length. What I like about this style dress is that it suits everyone no matter what your size. A neat shoulder line is miles more flattering than something drapey as it gives shape…and the shirt neckline means it works on bigger boobs. If you don’t like your tummy then let the dress fall naturally but if you want to show off your curves belt the dress. As the weather gets cooler layer the dress over the ochre polo neck and give it a totally different look.
An investment Jacket
A new season always calls for a new jacket. Something that updates your Autumn wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. This cute boxy jacket is just the answer. It looks fabulous styled with a simple stripey tee and the Perfect Fit ankle grazer jeans with white trainers for now. Style for later with this fab ochre shirt and the High-waisted Perfect Fit jeans or High-Rise PF jeans. The Perfect Fit jeans have been best sellers for years and it’s easy to see why. They have tummy control, a great stretch fabric that doesn’t bag and a sculpting cut that really flatters your figure. Please remember that if you want a less snug fit then size up especially in the High Rise style.
The Teddy Coat
It probably feels too early to start looking at coats but honestly the most fashion savvy shoppers are already picking out and investing in the styles that will be big this Autumn. Don’t be one of those who start looking at the end of September and get disappointed because your size has sold out! So my advice is to look now and my choice from Damarts new Collection is this on trend Sherpa Teddy coat….It comes in four colours and two lengths…. and is an unstructured throw on kinda shape….. again meaning it will work no matter what your size. Keep your bottom half slimmer if you are more curvy or style with Autumns new wide leg trousers. Just add a pop of colour with this pink sweater and trainers for a cool Preppy look.
The statement Knit
Knitting has become high fashion this Autumn and if you don’t fancy getting out your needles then look out for fabulous bold knits that have that handmade quality. My choice from Damart’s new range is this brilliant geometric sweater in orange (colour of the season!) burgundy and cream. It’s got an easy wear shape with a softly scooped neckline and will instantly update your look. Try teaming with the new wide leg trousers in pomegranate and trainers or wear simply with the new shape ankle grazer PF jeans and loafers.
