We are thrilled to have donated some much needed clothing to Bradford Teaching Hospital’s elderly care wards this New Year in a bid to keep patients warm and comfortable.
We felt it was our duty to give something back to the local community as the country faces a continuous cold weather snap.
Lead nurse for dementia, Danielle Woods, who is based at the Bradford Royal Infirmary, said “Our patients on the elderly wards often arrive at the hospital with nothing but the clothes they are wearing and some do not have families who can bring them something else to wear. Hospital gowns are not dignified and in some cases not practical or comfortable.
“Introducing everyday clothing to help patients get back into a routine and assist them in getting ready for discharge is essential, we would like to thank Damart for their generous clothing donation.”
Phil Anderson, our Marketing and E-Commerce Director said: “We’re always happy to help support the local community in which many of us live and work and this is a great way to do so. The team at the Bradford Teaching Hospital’s dementia wards work incredibly hard doing a wonderful job.”
